I am very honored and excited to announce that I have two winning images in the Top 250 in this years 2021 Share the View Photo Contest which is an International Nature Photography Contest.
Black Swallowtail Caterpillar Feeding on Fennel
The image below was photographed in my backyard butterfly garden this past summer. I was able to capture this black swallowtail caterpillar feeding on a fennel plant. I used a shallow depth of field to blur the background of the green grass. See my this Top 250 image at Share the View website my clicking here.

American Bullfrog Sitting on Pine Needles
My other winning image in the Top 250 of Share the View Contest is my American Bullfrog Sitting on Pine Needles which has received a lot of recognition this past year in several photography contests. For this image, I was laying on the ground at Norfolk Botanical Garden to photograph this frog that was sitting under a pine tree near the pond. I used a shallow depth of field to blur the background on this image. See my this Top 250 image at Share the View website my clicking here.

Thank you for reading my Field Notes Blog, and I hope you will share this post with others.
Let’s protect our wildlife and nature!
All the very best,
Lori
