April 3, 2022
April 1, 2022 my photography exhibit called For the Love of Photography: A Collection of Wildlife and Nature was delivered to the Norfolk Botanical Garden and hung up for display in the Baker Hall Visitor Center. My photography exhibit will be on display for the entire month of April.
This collection of images showcases my love for photography whether it is wildlife or nature subjects that I photographed. I love to take pictures and share these pictures with others in hopes to inspire love and appreciation for our natural world.
In addition, these past few years, I have used my love for photography as way to deal with some medical issues and changes in my physical abilities. Over the last few years, I have been dealing with changes in my balance and strength as well as my eyelids involuntary closing almost all the time. However, I still can manage to take pictures which often is the time when my eyelids stay open the most.
Recently, after having a medical crisis and being hospitalized, I was finally diagnosed as having seronegative Myasthenia Gravis. After seven long years since my very first symptom, I finally have a diagnosis. Now the healing and recovery process begins.
All these factors played into my decision for the title of my very first solo month-long photography exhibit. I hope if you are in the Hampton Roads area that you will be able to stop by the Norfolk Botanical Garden in April and check out my photography exhibit.
Also, a little reminder, if you are in the Hampton Roads area, I will be having my artist reception on April 7, 2022 at the Baker Hall Visitor Center at Norfolk Botanical Garden from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Free entrance to garden for the reception. At the entrance gate just mention your attendance to my artist reception.
Hope to see some of you there at my reception.
Thank you for reading my Field Notes Blog, and I hope you will share this post with others.
Let’s protect our wildlife and nature!
All the very best,
